Cylinder / Valve Fixing
Chemical desiccative Powder ABC is stored in steel super-pressure cylinders TPED, filled with nitrogen to 195 psig in a 70-F (1.034 KPa @ 21 ° C).

Each cylinder is equipped with nickel-plated brass valve, manometric pressure gauge to monitor the pressure of cylinder and a valve neighbouring to the sensors tubes Firetrace.

The ball valve must be closed all the time when the cylinder is not in use.

In addition, all cylinder valves are equipped with a decompression device in compliance with safety requirements.

Assembly of cylinder cantilever
Painted, wall- hanging steel handle is used to assembly the cylinder in the vertical (up) position. Each cylinder is equipped with two (2) integrated, promptly buttoning up tapes.

Firetrace Cable Detection (FDT)
Approved by FM, Firetrace Cable Detection (FDT) is a linear, pneumatic, fire detection device that responds to a combination of heat and energy radiating from the fire. FDT is a smooth (non-porous), and therefore it may maintain the internal pressure for a long time. FDT is also resistant to most common chemicals or substances. FDT is made of an inert, non conductive resin mixture and then compressed - which is aimed at smoothing the cable.

Firetrace Cable Detection performs three functions:
1). Heat Detection
2). Activating System
3). The release of extinguishing substance

The cable is installed in the entire area of potential risk, with one end connected to the top of the cylinder valve. The cable is pressurized to 195 psig nitrogen and maintain the system in ?OFF? position. The cable detection is sensitive to temperature and in case of fire is designed in the way to activate and hit the flames anywhere. Pipe rupture causes the formation of the extruding die, which completely release an extinguishing substance.

Pressure switch

Pressure switch is also equipped to monitor the pressure in the system, control system and / or turn on or turn off the power supply of any electrical equipment. This element can be connected to the end of the Firetrace Line Cord Detection or fitted on the container valve, in order to obtain additional electrical functions, which may be necessary. Firetrace recommends that all systems use the pressure switch connected to another device to be able to inform staff about systems activation.
